Community Rangers

Community Rangers

Community rangers often work closely with local councils to ensure the safety and well-being of both the community and the environment. These local champions are appointed community rangers; it is important to let communities develop their own appointment processes.

How Community Rangers Interact with Council Members:

  • Community Engagement: community rangers often engage with local communities to build trust and promote conservation efforts. This can involve working with indigenous communities or local residents to protect natural resources and promote sustainable practices.
  • Program Implementation and Updates: Local councils may approve community ranger programs. These programs can include tasks like maintaining smoke free areas, assisting with homelessness, and ensuring public safety.
