Receipting of all revenue and recording to various control registered and updating all individual register
Prepare and issue notices in respect to all monthly revenue including bus stand charged, canteen rental, lockup shop rental, etc.
Prepare and issue all notices in respect to town rates and any other revenue due to overdue for payment.
Preparation of arrears listing for all areas of revenue collection on regular basis.
Payments:
Preparation and remittance of all payments including reconciliation and payments of all month end creditor’s accounts.
Preparation and remittance of all periodicals, contractual and all regular monthly payments including allowances and loan repayments.
Prepare payments of all weekly payrolls.
Preparation and remittance of all monthly, quarterly, half and yearly and annual statutory returns.
Prepare all finance reports.
Preparation of Annual Accounts.
Assist in preparation of Annual Budgets.
Maintain and control petty cash and petty cash register.
General:
Monitor the day-to-day financial operations within the company, such as payroll, invoicing, and other transactions
Plans, organizes, and supervises the operations of the Finance Department, including disbursement and accounting of municipal funds, billing, and preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual reports; supervises staff assisting with these duties. Serves as a member of the team, along with the Town Manager, in the preparation of the general operating and capital improvements budgets, reviews departmental budget requests for accuracy and justification of resource allocation and expenditures.
Track the company’s financial status and performance to identify areas for potential improvement
Seek out methods for minimising financial risk to the company.
